From a Holiday to England to Scarbucks and DisneyPlus

From a Holiday to England to Scarbucks and DisneyPlus

(Clearly my head still isn't used to the usual life beyond holidays yet, since this blog post is a bit chaotic..)

Time flies when you‘re in the middle of hour holiday days.. Isn't it? Or does time just fly all time? My vacation was over since last Monday, but time for writing this blog I hadn't had before today (Friday). Well I've also did some other writing, socializing (because of something in our home circumstances we've been having a lot of visitors lately and it‘s not very nice if I crawl behind my laptop then for writing a blogπŸ˜‰.) Perhaps I should overthink it too much because with that, I‘m losing.. time..😏

In the second week of my vacation I went a weekend off, traveling. I went to Winterswijk & Lichtenvoorde (city my mother grew up in). I went on my own and I said to myself: If I can do this, I can travel to England on my own too. And as if it truly was a first step towards England, I was given some signs during my trip: The key of my B&B had a London red phone-booth key-chain on, a poster in the hall had the word 'London' printed on big, a 'London bus' can, people in the train/streets saying England..

Jep that‘s Dumbo! 😊

And guess what? One of my dreams is coming true in 2020!  I‘m going to Glastonbury and I don‘t need to go on my own!

Flower Parade

Jurassic Park & the whole Jungle on the loose!

This was truly beautiful to see. Giant creations (chariots) made by flowers. The monkey was the winner (his head moved, his eyes blinked and the thing also made sound), but personally I also was very impressed by the leopard & the dinosaur. They all had something special. The dinosaur was moving a bit too and they played the lovely Jurassic Park music!

Green

The horse was a real photo model!

The nature pictures I took in Lichtenvoorde. It‘s like when you are in the green grasslands, you feel like you are far away from the market, but it‘s actually just a 10 minutes walk.. My mother grew up in a farm just before this grassland (the farm is gone) and she did recognize some of the things like the big tree when I sent some pictures.

The picture above is me sitting below the big tree. My skin is very light and actually it was a bit too hot outside for a walk.. So I was happy the tree could offer me some shelter for a while..

I don‘t really know what this was, it looked magnificent.

This was a weekend for myself. I needed to get myself away from my hometown and also I stayed low at social media (something I should do more often I noticed..). And when you‘re alone, you are not going to make it wild in the evening.. Even though they had a huge event happening in Winterswijk (the flower parade/fair/party/drinking/fun) I stayed in my B&B during the evenings reading, writing and watching series. Since a few years I‘m skipping alcohol more and more. I always had to be careful with it. Having a wine or a beer every now and then is okay but I definitely don‘t find it necessary weekend after weekend. After the walk I sat myself down at a terrace and took a smoothie instead (and looked over to the lion statue in front of me. Got to love lions😍).

When I‘m going to England (and I will!) I know I can share a lot more about the trip! :).

Tom Hiddleston by Dead Poets Live.

This blogpost needs a picture of Tom in it! This one got published by Dead Poets Live earlier today. It was taken on their event in 2018. #TheBrokenWord.

I also found something I really really like in the mail today!

"I‘m going to get me a Scarbucks coffee!"
"Don‘t you mean Starbucks?"
"Don‘t tell that to the owner of Scarbucks. Oh and if your name is Mufasa, you better give up another name.."
I found the mug on Etsy. No actually I looked for it but that‘s because I seen it somewhere a few years ago. I couldn't find back the website, well perhaps that was Etsy too. I just needed to have this mug and the fact that shipping costs more than the mug, didn‘t really matter. It‘s almost too risky to use it, but I‘m going to because what else is better drinking your coffee from than in a Scar mug, if you are writing Lion King fan-fiction? "So prepare for the cup of the century.. Be prepared!"

Ending this blog with some DisneyPlus news:

Here in Holland DisneyPlus is out there to try for a free trial. The three Thor films are on, the newer Marvel films like Avengers Endgame and Captain Marvel aren't on yet. I assume they come on November 12th, when Disney is officially releasing the app and then they will add more to watch. Also it's not yet available on all TV 's (according to Disney: Disney+ is available on the following devices: Web, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV, and fully integrated with the Apple TV app, Android Phone, Android Tablet, Android TV devices, LG TVs, Google Chromecast and Chromecast built-in devices, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.). For now I can use it on Web and the tablet.

When you can't chose a icon, just give Loki a profile..πŸ˜‡:

I hope my sister will pick Lady because her icon is so cute too!

There‘s no Loki icon yet, when he gets one I need three profiles..

I haven‘t watched anything on it yet, but I think I‘m going to give Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D a chance!

Random

Random

+ a little inspiring!

I almost can‘t keep track of all new Tom Hiddleston content, but I‘m not complaining because I love to see and read all his lovely interviews. I just watched this one from Playbill, however watched.. make that listened because unfortunately the video was black..

Also I‘m very pleased about the fact that Tom is posting a lot on social media lately!😊

He took a beautiful picture of the New York Times article. It‘s stunning and I love the shade below the plate!

This interview by Josh Horowitz (Personal Space/MTV) was so lovely. I love it when Tom talks about the Loki Series (which will be 6 hours in total)! There‘s so much chemistry between Tom and Joshua. I totally can relate to a comment I read below the video, it said: "Just make Josh Horowitz the official Tom Hiddleston interviewer!"

The Loki Series:
"The journey you and I are on isn't over just yet. In fact, it‘s only just begun!" - Tom Hiddleston
(Tom, you know just to drop the right words. This was exactly what I needed to hear!)

From Thursday to Saturday I‘m a weekend off. (This picture of Loki with a bag suits my situation haha.) I will be traveling in my own country. If this works fine (sure it will), my next step is to travel to England on my own. πŸ˜‡

I‘ll end this blog with a few random pictures I had saved on my phone/computer, so for a bit this is a inspiring quotes/spiritual blog post after all. πŸ˜‡

Amen!

And the right way is the way that feels right for you!

Got a big dream?
It doesn't matter how big your dream is. Wish for it anyway. The wishing well is big enough to grant us all our big wishes, as long as they truly are what your heart desires!

Aww! (So that‘s how Disney came up with Winnie the PoohπŸ˜‹)

Lately my drinks (coffee or in this case, a smoothie) are giving me a πŸ’—.

I read this was in Japan, I thought it was heaven!

😊 πŸ’“ πŸ˜‡ ✏ πŸ“•

End with a quote of Tom himself:

Tuesday, 13 August 2019

Dear Tom,

It‘s been a while since I last have written a post. In the meantime there‘s been a lot of development regarding Tom Hiddleston, which I of course still have followed! For example he did this interview for Entertainment Weekly and he also did some promotion for Betrayal in New York: There was a interview video, several photo‘s and the cast also was present at the Broadway Opening Night performance of Sea Wall / A Life at the Hudson Theatre. Oh and I almost forgot about the poems he read for Ximalaya FM! (I haven‘t listened to them yet, I‘m sorry but it‘s on my to do list!)*

Last week we were given a highly emotional promotion video of Betrayal (and I thought he posted 5 things in a row because I got the notification on all my IG & twitter accounts!) and there‘s an interview with Josh Horowitz coming! (Josh posted a small part already) I haven‘t been sitting still this summer myself either. What is the best thing to do when your country breaks a personal record of 40 degrees? Nothing, lay down in the pool, right.. But imagine you want to do at least something. What you do then? For me the answer is simple: writing! I've gotten so many inspiration for my fan story Scar‘s Reign, (and I did some editing and gave it a nice new cover..) that I neglected my Loki stories a bit. Well, inspiration for Loki will come back later, eventually.

A part of this post (blue part) will be a bit different. I can go on and on about how Tom inspires me and how I like seeing new content of him, but why not just address it to the man himself? 😏

*His lovely selfie, Marvel Phase 4 and the interviews for SiriusXM I already posted about in an older blog, that‘s why they are not mentioned above.

I see a pattern, I just like black maned male characters..

Dearest Thomas,

How are you feeling today?
I‘m happy that you didn't sit still this summer because well, I liked the content I've seen of you lately. However when it‘s 35-40+ degrees, I hope your day isn't too crowded.. I don‘t know what the weather is like in New York, but here those temperatures mean no fun..

Your interview for EW I truly experienced as a lovely interview Tom! I really loved to read that you actually had gotten Betrayal for a school assignment and that you dreamed to do it once, because you got so fascinated with it. It was meant to come on your path so to see, and faith always knows what it‘s doing :) If there‘s one thing we can relay on, it‘s the universe. They never let us down!(Even though sometimes it may look like they have.) I've written you a few times and I think I mention that you inspire me, a lot. But it‘s the truth and a compliment worth to be shared more often. Your words in the interview also inspire people to continue believing in their dreams; believing they can make them true, just like you made them true. Doing Betrayal once was a dream & this year in London you portrayed Robert in Betrayal like the stars of heaven would (Dutch saying of saying it‘s was a huge success and you have performed magnificent). And now you, Charlie and Zawe have made it to Broadway! If that‘s not inspiring, than I don‘t know what else is.. I know I can make my dreams true too and you have truly helped me see that. According to the internet the name 'Tom' has meanings like: Twin, brave/good man, but for me your name also brings luck, inspiration and confidence!

I loved your selfie. On the photo I see a man with sparkles in his eyes, a smile from the heart and a shining aura. I said: "If you ask me, New York never was this light!" Okay, I've never been in New York, but your smile was so bright and full of joy. I can‘t look at the photo without smiling and feeling warm and happy inside. I‘m so proud and so blessed to have your brightness on my path.

Like I said above, I haven‘t been sitting still either. I wouldn't feel alive if I can‘t do the thing that fills my heart: writing! But we‘re also planning a school reunion. Really fun and via a Facebook group I've created I've found old classmates and of all the 100 people that joined the group, they are really sharing their memories and finding back people they haven‘t seen in years. That‘s truly beautiful. I've think I have changed a lot and I‘m really looking forward on showing this stronger version of myself during the actual reunion.

I am still looking forward to the Loki Series (+ also a bit for Thor 4). Marvel Phase 4 is looking bright and I think hearing people call: 'Loki, Loki, Loki!' gave you such a amazing feeling! Loki must be one of the populairst characters of the MCU and with such a amazing talent as you are, one who performs with his whole heart and soul, that‘s not hard to believe at all! All the praise you got, you truly deserved (in a good way of course, saying someone deserved something looks weird to me when I read it, but I mean it as a very positive thing!). Perhaps it‘s goodbye Netflix in 2021 and welcome Disney+, because I will definitely not miss out on the Loki Series!

Continue shining your light, shine it through the whole city of New York. Rock it during Betrayal Broadway! For all involved: Best of luck and lots of fun with Betrayal Broadway! Enjoy your time in NYC and in 'spirit' I‘ll be there to support you! This is a chapter of your life you‘ll never forget. :)

I will continue following all developments and one day, I‘ll be there telling you face to face how much you have inspired me (On forehand, forgive me if I suddenly forget how to speak..), one day I will meet you myself and I‘m already looking forward to that precious day of my life!

(PS: This photo of The Broken Word taken at Dead Poets Live really takes my breath away. It‘s called "Dead Poets" but this picture is so alive. It truly makes me curious about the event. And oh, the light!)

Take good care! :)

Your sincerely,

Nicole from the Netherlands

The Lion King/Scar talk

The Lion King/Scar talk

And a little bit about Mamma Mia 2 & Rush..

This blogpost will perhaps be in stead of my monthly inspiring quotes blogpost. Writing is something I love to do and always films give me a lot of inspiration. I let my dreams lead my life. I start with my blog/review about The Lion King with showing my love for Disney‘s character Scar, switching to 'Scar‘s Reign', another story I enjoy writing. This week I also saw Mamma Mia 2 again and this movie is an inspiration to follow your dreams. Let that be one of my motto‘s.. Do what brings you happiness!

It‘s no secret that Tom Hiddleston, with bringing Loki in my life, has inspired me this much in writing (& sharing it) and in to believe in my Dreams. So perhaps it‘s not strange as I say the following: For me Tom/Loki is the Circle of Life!

The Lion King

Summer 2019: Where are we going? Let‘s go to the savannah of Africa, on a safari among the giraffes, zebras and last of course: lions! But you don't really have to go that far this summer (depends on where you live of course..) Just with one single cinema visit you are there! I think you have read me by now.., I'm talking about The Lion King! This summer you can watch the Disney lions Simba, Nala, Scar and Mufasa lifelike in 3D! Obviously they cannot escape the weird bird Zazu, the giggling/drooling hyenas and the comic duo Timon & Pumbaa can‘t be missed too!

The original Lion King from 1994 was a big blockbuster at the time and I think with this version it don‘t be much different. The Lion King already is one of Disney most successful franchises for years. The musical, which stops this summer here in the Netherlands but has been playing non-stop in London and in New York for years, remains a great success.

As for the Disney Remake Live Action films there‘s always the question whether it actually works just as it did in the original. The story of The Lion King is one you should definitely not add too much changes in , Disney also hasn't done that except for some expansions and some small things. Where I believe this version of director Jon Favreau rocks in, has everything to do with the breath-taking real-looking shots. The African landscapes are absolutely stunning to see and I particularly was impressed by the scenes that showed the starry sky. During the nature scenes, pay attention to the details. I must admit: The talking and singing animals are a bit of a strange sight, but of course a Lion King movie without the well-known songs is a no go! The intro is again very amazing. During the first part of the film, the cute cubs totally steal the show. The first look on baby cub Simba was without any doubts definitely an "aww moment". The Lion King from 1994 really is one that pulls your tears out! The expectation is that not everyone will keep it dry while watching some scenes in real life. However even though they look more real, I thought they didn't had the same emotion as in the animation. I thought the interaction between the animals (especially during action scenes!) looked epic (,especially on moments where they weren‘t speaking or singing haha). The home front of Timon & Pumbaa was designed to be a bit more detailed and it got more residents, that also caused some nice effects.

English version

Disney chose to let James Earl Jones return (Mufasa) as the only one of the original voice cast. People now are wondering: Why just him? A few of the missing ones are Rowan Atkinson (Zazu) & obviously Jeremy Irons, who with his English accent, really brought Scar to life. He even appears to have shown interest in this remake, but Disney chose actor Chiwetel Ejiofor to crawl into the thin skin of this lion. However he wasn‘t bad and "Be Prepared" sounded very entertaining (too bad they shortened the song, but that‘s not his fault), but it really is no match for Jeremy Irons' performance! And concerning Beyonce (Nala), the opinions are quite different. The new song "Spirit" sung by Beyonce doesn‘t sound wrong but for me certainly didn‘t reach the goose bumps level aka "Circle of Life" & "He Lives In You", although there is also a bit of nostalgia attached to that. By the way the song that you hear during the credits is called "Never Too Late" from Elton John. Timon (Billy Eichner) & Pumbaa (Seth Rogen) provide the necessary humor. This works out very well and Seth Rogen makes Pumbaa a popper! Laughing moments guaranteed!

Dutch version

The original Dutch Lion King is really nostalgic for me. That's why I thought it would be nice to also view this Dutch version. Although again it is not comparable with the 1994 version, I am sure that children will be impressed. Personally I had to get used to the voices but this version certainly did well in the songs. Hats off to the young talents who took care of the voices of the Simba & Nala cubs. They do an honour to the Dutch version of the song "Just can‘t wait until I'm king!" On moments I couldn‘t tell if it sounded any different than the original. Actor Jurgen Theuns also emerges strongly in this song as the silly bird Zazu. Scar was voiced for this version by Marc Jonkers. Also in the Dutch version of 1994 the voice of Scar (Arnold Gelderman) totally gave you the shivers, so the expectations for the voice of this evil lion is also quite high here! One moment, Jonkers‘ Scar sounded like an old lion, but when the tense music plays in the background (sometimes this was too loud to properly understand all what was said), it suddenly jumps over and he sounds pretty frightening. Scar’s own song is also very well sung. Against that, I am less enthusiastic about Mufasa (how is it possible with James Earl Jones in the original version!), The hyenas and Rafiki. Timon & Pumbaa are again spoken in by Belgian actors, which makes the fact that they come from another piece of land more alive.

In addition to the few changes in the story, Disney has given the animals a more realistic look to make the film appear more natural. The character who definitely looked the most unrealistic in the cartoon was (I just like to address him too often!) Scar with his black mane and orange-looking fur. That Disney chose not to stick to that look completely seems actually quite logical. However, you can still tell the difference between him compared to Mufasa & Simba. Of course the scar, from what he owes his name, can‘t be taken off! By the way, do you know there‘s a book that tells a part of the past of the 2 brothers? This book is called A Tale of Two Brothers. If Disney ever wants to make a Lion King movie again, I hope they prefer this prequel (in cartoon form!) over re-making Simba’s Pride!

The Lion King will no doubt be the cinema hit of the summer! The temperatures of Africa have already reached us (The Netherlands, 41 degrees on the 25th of July!) and it‘s quite ironic to say that by a cinema visit to a film about these hot landscapes, you can go for cooling down. The Lion King will bring many of us back to their childhood. Don‘t be ashamed to sing along with nostalgic songs such as "Can't Wait To Be King". Go there with your group of friends and from experience I say that it might lead to do "mini Lion King dialogues" among each other. Maybe you visited the original film with your parents and you like the idea of repeating that tradition with this version? The Lion King is suitable for children 9 years and older. Simba is laughing at you!

Scar‘s Reign

I think Scar/Taka is a character Disney could have do more with. A few years ago I started writing a story a little based on The Madness Of King Scar scene (both the deleted scene of 1994‘s film and the musical version), but also I like to dig deeper into his past. This story is called Scar‘s Reign. I originally wrote this in Dutch and I‘m busy translating it, which also gives me new ideas for the continue. I just posted 'The Lead Huntress', a chapter I very much enjoyed writing. And for a upcoming chapter called 'The Madness of King Scar' I really stepped into that chaotic head of him. (I like to work with the italic font to reveal certain thoughts of the characters, but to truly show how chaotic his mind truly has become, I've written TMOKS in his perspective completely.) If you are interested in reading my story, here are a few links:

Scar‘s Reign (FanFiction.net)
Scar‘s Reign (Archive of Our Own)
Wattpad

This is the story‘s original summary:

"This story based on 'The Madness of King Scar' & 'A Tale of Two Brothers' is, what‘s revealed in the name, about what happened after Mufasa's death and Simba's disappearance. The story starts years after that. We all know that Scar took over the Kingdom. But what happened during Simba's absence? And after that? What's life like on the pride with Scar? What's in it for the future for Nala, Sarabi and the other lionesses? And how's Scar holding up as King himself? Scar/Taka is such an interesting character to write about and with this story I‘m deepening myself into his chaotic mind. Also there‘s a closer look into his past as Taka, as it still hunts this black maned lion. Is Scar able to deal with all these 'ghosts' of the past? Is Taka still hidden somewhere inside or is our pal truly destined to be doomed? - The idea of this story actually also has to do with the fact that I wanted to be able to live the scene 'The Madness of King Scar' completely from his perspective."

Mammia Mia 2/Rush

Spoken of cooling down.. The other day it was around 35 degrees during the open air cinema with Mammia Mia 2 (if you are in need of finding inspiration for following your dreams, this one, Midnight in Paris (one of my favorite non-Loki Tom Hiddleston films) or Letters to Juliet I can recommend you.) Luckily this film had lots of goosebumps moments to cool off. Hopefully it's less hot during the showing of 'Rush' since this film with Chris Hemsworth has the opposite effect. (While I write this, I hear the F1 Grandprix from Germany in the background. The race is a bit of a problematic rainy race, oh yes I‘m looking forward in seeing this film again!)

I love the music of ABBA and when hearing Waterloo my heart just warms. Last week I also heard it when a local band played it. Waterloo, Go Your Own Way, See You In My Dreams, Don‘t Stop Believing, only a few of the songs that make me touch my heart. Also a film which concerns your own dreams, is expected to touch you. In Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again young Donna is turning the wheel in her life by with traveling she begins her adventure. Traveling is one of my dreams. "Follow Your Dreams, You May Be Surprised Where They Lead You", is a lovely inspiring quote and I got a few places/countries on the list. Freedom is important and that I‘m seeking more and more in my life. You know, there‘s so much to discover in the world, but also discovering yourself more. When you take a step sort like Donna did, you‘ll grow and you discover that you can do much more than you perhaps thought you could. Another dream of mine is having a family. Films don‘t often make me cry but all baby/pregnancy scenes hit me every single time! I once wrote my dream this way: 'My dream is to hold my new born baby for the very first time. When imagining this happening, the warmest feeling fills my heart.' (Unlike Donna in this film, I wish to know who the father is..) And I believe that whatever your dream is, you got to hold on to it, don‘t let it go. Continue believing in your dream. I know for sure, my dreams are coming true!

Listen to your Heart,
Go your own path,
Reach your dream(s)!

Loki in Marvel Phase 4

Loki in Marvel Phase 4

At San Diego Comic Con last weekend all series and films for Phase 4 got announced. Tom will star in two of them and he‘s super excited about it!

I am too! I am too!

The Loki Series will come in May 2021 and it will follow the 2012 Loki that escaped with the Tesseract in Endgame.

But what‘s the other thing Tom is involved with? Is it Thor 4? No, it‘s an animated series What if...? Tom will be one of the actors voicing the series. Imagine all What If‘s...? Loki could be involved with?

Also the logo for Thor 4 got announced. The film will have the name: Thor Love & Thunder. (I assume Loki is not the Love in here?) Chris Hemsworth will return as Thor but he won‘t be the only Thor in it! Natalie Portman will portray the female Thor. Also Tessa Thomson will return. The film will be directed by Taika Waititi, who also directed Thor Ragnarok.

These are all Phase 4 announcements

Thank you 3000!

Thank you 3000!

'Starting with ‘Thor’ you took me on a journey. A journey that opened lots of doors to other worlds for me (and I‘m not just talking about Asgard). I‘d just hopped on the ‘Tom Hiddleston train’ a few years ago and let you guide me towards stations that gave me dreams, believe, more self-confidence & hope. And as the cherry on top: inspiration for writing about Loki myself, which truly feels like a desire from my heart.'

"Love you 3000!"

Front of the card (A4) I send to Tom in May

Now that Spider-Man: Far from Home (don‘t worry no spoilers, JUST FOR ENDGAME!) has ended MCU Phase 3, I would like to dwell on that for a minute, if I may. I had wanted to write about Avengers: Endgame earlier, but each time something came in between. It‘s too late for writing a review about Endgame and there‘s enough discussion about it on the internet too, so I‘m just going to leave it like that. I do want to say that I thought Endgame was worthy, a good closure. I liked Endgame much better than Infinity War, I‘m sure you know why.. In fact, I never felt the need of re-watching Infinity War and I wouldn't mind seeing Endgame again.. There‘s always criticism, but in my opinion, For both Tony Stark and Captain America Endgame did very well. To be honest, about Thor I‘m still balancing in the middle. It really relies on what they‘ll do to him in the future. We haven‘t seen the last of him yet, no doubt! And what about Loki? By letting Loki escape with the Tesseract in 2012, Endgame created an opening for The Loki Series. I think that means that everything still is possible. All doors are open. It‘s up to Disney and Marvel to use those doors and what they‘ll do with it. And I‘m seeing this positive. I trust them, but more importantly: I have faith in Tom Hiddleston! Always!

After Endgame, I've been creative by creating 'Thank you' cards for my three favorites. Besides Tom, Robert and Chris Hemsworth received one. Before today (8th of July), I hadn't shared them online yet. Tom‘s card is above. It includes 5 edits on which I edited my favorite Loki quotes in. To get them all in one card, I decided to do IW and Endgame in one edit. I will share all 5 edits in this blog.

I‘m not going to share the text I wrote in the cards. They have a personal touch here and there, when I‘m writing about what the films and their characters have meant for me. Tom‘s card also has a Funko Fun edit inside, that I can share with you:

>Some more pictures of the Loki Stuttgart Funko Custom can be found here<

All though I made this for the fun, it‘s no lie that I would love to see Tom again in his Loki Stuttgart suit. It‘s one of my favorite outfits of Loki. I feel very thankful to have this Loki Stuttgart Custom.

Tony Stark has so many memorable quotes in the MCU. It seems that the line "I Love you 3000" has a deeper meaning. I read that Robert Downey Jr. said it to his own kids, and if that isn‘t beautiful enough: It seems like the total run-time of all 23 films is similar to the number as well: 3000 minutes!

See this tweet for more about that:

I took my Tony Pop‘s and chose my favorite Tony Stark Quotes. Of course Reindeer Games, Point Break and Shakespeare in the Park can‘t miss. His line "Sorry, Earth is closed today" cheered me up after the beginning of IW broke me, ah yes Tony totally is the God of Marvel. I love his choice of nicknames and of course Lebowski for Thor in Endgame resulted in breaking my laugh again.. Tony is an important character in my Loki stories as well and I can‘t resist on using some of his known nicknames again, but also it inspired me for other ones for example: Shakespeare-sisters for Thor and Loki or Planet Squirrel as a guess for the name of the planet Rocket comes from. Tony, Loki, Thor & Rocket: a golden quartet in stories, gives you lots of writing fun!

Front of the card I've send to Chris Hemsworth
Close up quotes I chose for Thor. (The Get Help Funko-Fun is one I made last year)

I totally ruined my own Get Help Funko-Fun by adding my favorite Thor quotes, but also Thor has lots of memorable quotes we shouldn't forget!

A small part of what I wrote in Thor‘s card:

When I first watched a Thor movie all those years ago, I never knew it would open a whole new world for me. Besides making me develop a love for the Norse Mythology, you also gave me The Avengers as a present. You know, the reason I chose to watch 'Thor' at the first place was because I liked fantasy films with guys with long hair in it. But Thor, (especially) Loki and the stunning world of Asgard helped me through a rough period and inspired me to write about them.

I would like to thank you for all you gave and shared with us. Thor‘s journey, who I felt so sorry for after he kept losing more and more. You went for the head, yes! For the better I don‘t have a Thanos Funkopop otherwise I would have a made a Thor VS Thanos movie moment 2.0! Once you said: 'No Thor without Loki', and now we saw in what condition he is without him: I truly hope he‘ll get his brother back eventually. But I really liked Thor‘s viking look at the end, his braided beard. It gave me that real Norse Gods/Immigrant song feeling. Hope to see more Thor in the future!

Loki

Continue with Loki.πŸ’—

Creating his card took me the most time. Obviously because I wanted to do a little extra for Tom. Hopefully he can see through the fact that I‘m absolutely no Photoshop pro.. The idea was for all edit to be a bit in the same style. In each edit I used at least one black and white photo of Loki and a color one. Also I used the same layers and fonts to make them have a bit of the same look (as far as I managed) and of course Loki quotes! πŸ’ŸπŸ’“ Actually Loki has too many memorable quotes to add them all haha.

Of course the helmet may keep its colors!

My favorite!

I found some of the edits too crowded because of the Loki quotes, so for the Thor the Dark World edit I decided to not make them dominate the edit. My favorite Loki scenes are the Ta-da scene and everything involved Thor and Loki escaping Asgard, so they had to be in! And of the scenes I think Loki looks absolutely stunning is the opening scene of this film, yes where he wears chains.. Also I kind of cheated with this edit. In my opinion, Thor the Dark World also had the strongest last few seconds that ended a Marvel. Therefore a bit in the back, this smiling mischief-looking Loki is added. 😊

Ragnarok! In a Ragnarok Loki themed edit, the picture I use as profile photo definitely can‘t miss!

Darker movies, darker edits..

Endgame and Infinity War in one. To keep the focus more on Loki, I also narrowed down at one quote. I chose the quote that meant the most to me. The sun will always shine on them! 🌞

'I‘m happy Loki‘s journey hasn't reached its End 'game' yet. I‘m super excited for the Loki Series! A whole wide road open for Loki. Wherever he goes, I will follow!'

#ThankYouAvengers

Love you 3000 is a quote I will continue on using in the future!
